It seems like everyone is looking for way to achieve glowing, healthy-looking, and beautiful skin these days. Well, LED light therapy just may be the answer! It is a natural, non-toxic, and non-invasive treatment that delivers remarkable results for many concerns on all skin types. LED light therapy was even included in Shape Magazine‘s list of the 10 High-Tech Beauty Products Worth Every Penny.

Basically, the process of LED skin therapy is applying different colors of light onto the skin. Different colors penetrate the skin at varying depths and trigger different reactions beneath the epidermis. LED light stimulates the natural photo-biochemical reaction in the skin, which is similar to plant photosynthesis. LED reacts with cytochromes, the parts of the skin cells that respond to light and color. When cytochromes are activated, that added energy boost stimulates tissue growth and cell regeneration. The effective and photographic results accumulate over time. The treatment can be used for the face, throat, décolleté or hands.

Currently, Celumma Modality is the only LED Phototherapy available that utilizes the three wavelengths: blue, red, and near-infrared. The reason that it uses three different colors is due to the fact that different colors produce different results for the skin. These three particular wavelengths are well researched and scientifically proven to deliver therapeutic benefits to the skin. The blue light penetrates through the epidermis and is found to kill the acne causing bacteria present in the skin. Red light permeates into the dermal layer of the skin and has been shown to amplify collagen and elastin production through photo-biostimulation of fibroblasts. Near-infrared light penetrates the deepest into the skin and increases micro-circulation, decreases inflammation, and minimizes pain. In fact, NASA’s Space Program proved that the near-infrared wavelength in LED light therapy promotes wound healing and human tissue growth.

By just the first treatment, skin is restored and glowing. LED treatment smooths the skin’s texture, tightens enlarged pores, reduces sebum in oily skin, controls breakouts, and even increases the lymphatic system’s function. Continued treatments will diminish age spots and hyperpigmentation, reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles, accelerate the repair and replenishment of damaged skin cells, and increase elasticity and firmness of the skin. LED light treatments treat all aspects of sun damage like overall redness, flushing, and dilated capillaries. The results of LED light treatments have been scientifically proven in over 300 unbiased clinical trials. This non-invasive and painless treatment works for all skin types and requires no downtime. To achieve the best results, undergo treatments twice a week over a period of eight to twelve weeks.

When LED skin therapy is used in conjunction with other types of skin treatments, it can dramatically improve the results. A 15-minute treatment of the Celluma light therapy after a Microneedling CIT treatment reduces the likelihood of bruising, speeds recovery, and intensifies the anti-aging results of microneedling. A light therapy session at the end of Dermaplaning helps restore the skin’s natural barrier to enhance the skin’s vibrant glow.

Although LED phototherapy is non-invasive and beneficial to all skin types, women who are pregnant and people whosuffer from epilepsy should consult a doctor before beginning treatments. Also, those who have had Botox injections or cosmetic fillers should wait at least five days before beginning a LED light treatment.
