There are many benefits of practicing yoga regularly: increased flexibility, increased muscle strength and tone, weight loss, cardio and circulatory health, improved athletic performance, protection from injury, improved posture, better bone health, and improvements in your energy and vitality levels.

Trina encourages everyone to start their own yoga practice and keep up with their practice to ensure the healthy lifestyle that yoga provides.

Hi, I’m Trina Becksted for Holistic Healing News.
I’ve had a yoga practice for well over 20 years, and I can tell you that it changes on a daily basis. Some days I’m more flexible, some days I’m more present. Some days, I have that “aha!” experience where we release the chemicals in the bloodstream in the brain and that’s the “aha!” I love to get. And sometimes, it’s just kinda going through the motions.
Nonetheless, Yoga is union: union of mind and body. When we unite our breath and stay present in the body with the ‘asana’ as we call it, with this movement, you’ll release (I know I have) lots of trapped emotions and energies and just let them go as you’re doing your flow or whatever kind of yoga it is. So start a practice, do something on the mat, and be present and be grateful.
